Thank you for choosing Jellybeans Afterschool Program!!! Our targeted age for the program is children in grades K-5. Jellybeans will transport your child from their school each day. There is no additional fee for this. When they arrive at Jellybeans we provide a snack and a drink and then we have homework time.

We emphasize education, so we provide a time each day to work on homework. We will assist children when they need help. All children have to show us their assignment sheet and homework before skating. If you prefer your child to do their homework at home, please let me know.

You only pay for the days your child attends. (Kids have to come a minimum 3 days per week no less)

FEES:
Non-refundable registration fee of $40.00 per child.

$15.00 per day for 1 child
$23.00 per day for 2 children in family
$28.00 per day for 3 children in family

(Kids have to come a minimum 3 days per week no less)

All fees are due in advance either the Friday before or at pick up on the first day of the week the child attends. There is a $10.00 late fee when fees are not paid on time. Payments can be made with cash, check, Master Card or Visa. If we receive a returned check, the child will not be picked up until the check is paid by cash plus a $30.00 returned check fee.

TEACHER WORKDAYS AND HOLIDAYS
On teacher workdays (New Hanover County Traditional Schools and Year Round Schools) we will have day care from 7:30am-6:00pm. Please see us for the fee. There will be no additional registration fee for these days. The fee will include 3 drinks and 2 snacks per day….please send a lunch or purchase a snack card for lunch. We will have day care on days off associated with the holidays – please see us for the exact days we will be closed.

PICK UP
Until we get to know all parents, we will need to see a picture ID at the front door. We will need to know your child’s pickup schedule in advance. Please make any last minute changes before 1:00pm each day. We have an answering machine on 24 hours a day. It is very important that we know who is riding each day prior to picking them up. Unless we are getting your child everyday, please call us on Mondays with their pickup schedule for the week. IF YOU MAKE A PICKUP CHANGE, PLEASE LET THE SCHOOL AND US KNOW. THERE IS A CHARGE IF YOUR CHILD IS SCHEDULED TO RIDE AND DOES NOT GET ON….PLEASE LET US KNOW OF ANY CHANGES.
*** ALL CHILDREN HAVE TO BE PICKED UP BY 6:00PM *** IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL CHILDREN BE PICKED UP BY 6:00PM BECAUSE OUR HOCKEY PROGRAM STARTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM AND WE DO NOT HAVE EMPLOYEES THAT CAN STAY TO WATCH AFTERSCHOOL CHILDREN AFTER 6:00PM. THERE IS A $10.00 FEE FOR EVERY 5 MINUTES AFTER 6:00PM

SNACKS
We will provide a drink and snack when children arrive each afternoon. If your child needs additional food, please purchase a snack card at the front door of $5, $10, $20. We keep these cards behind the snack bar & when the children want to buy something, we mark off the cost. You can also send snacks in a lunch box. Please provide a card or extra snacks….they always want more food while skating.

HOMEWORK
After snack each day we will begin homework. If you do not want your child to do homework here, please let me know. Please check your child’s school folder each night and check their homework assignments. We do not have children do their reading here unless they want to. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS A NOTEBOOK WITH PAPER AND PENCILS EACH DAY.

SKATES AND LOST ARTICLES
We have a place in skate rental to keep your child’s skates each day so they will not have to take them to school.
Jellybeans is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please make sure you get all belongings each day.

ACCIDENTS/EMERGENCIES
We are not responsible for accidents. Please make sure your child is covered with insurance. Skaters skate at their own risk while skating at Jellybeans.
In case of emergency and we cannot reach you we will make the best decision for your child’s care.

VAN RULES
ALL CHILDREN MUST WEAR A SEAT BELT OR BE IN A CAR SEAT ACCORDING TO THE LAW. WE HAVE CAR SEATS FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE REQUIRED TO BE IN ONE.
No shouting, eating/drinking or singing on vans. Doors are only opened by authorized people or the request of the van driver.


DISCIPLINE POLICY

1. All children will comply will ALL directions of Jellybeans Staff and all other personnel who are authorized to give such directions.
2. Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself.
3. NO chewing gum or candy.
4. Children may not use any language which is insulting, abusive or threatening.
5. No running or gymnastics inside the building.
6. Children will wear seatbelts and follow all safety rules while riding in vehicles.
7. Children will not play in the restrooms.
8. Children are not allowed to have cell phones….if there is an emergency…we
will call parents.
9. No boy/girl relationships.
10. Children will take part in the clean up.
11. Homework must be done each day unless parent says otherwise.
12. No hand held games (Gameboys, D. S.’s, etc) or cell phones.

CONSEQUENCES FOR MISBEHAVIOR
All campers will be made aware of the above policy….please go over this information with your child prior to attending camp. We will give warnings then we will utilize time-out. Parents will be notified if there is a major problem or if we are constantly having a difficult time with their child. If the child is taking a large amount of our time being disciplined, we will ask you to make other child care arrangements.

OTHER INFORMATION:
1. No hand held games or anything of value. We go by the school system’s rules….if they do not allow something, neither do we since we are getting them straight from school.
2. Children are expected to clean up after themselves.
3. We try to have something all children enjoy. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
4. No hand held games, cell phones or Heelies.
